Back-to-School Information

Pictures for school IDs and the yearbook will be taken during Bobcat Back-To-School on Aug. 26. In future emails we will share information about how to order school pictures online through O’Connor Photography.

Picture retakes will be October 8 for those students who are unable to make it on Aug. 26.

First Day of School, Tuesday, September 3

School start time for 6th graders on September 3 is 7:25 am. Sixth graders will be picked up according to regular weekday bus schedules for a full school day schedule. School lunch will be available for our sixth graders.

Seventh and eighth graders will begin school on September 3 at 12:25 pm. Bus transportation will be provided five hours later than the regular weekday bus schedule. For example, if your regular morning bus pick-up time is 7:10 am, then you need to be at your bus stop at 12:10 pm.

School lunch will NOT be served to 7th and 8th graders on the first day of school.

Register for Fall Sports (Fastpitch, Baseball or Track)

Girls Fastpitch, Boys Baseball and Track start September 4. Read this document if you would like to register your child for Fall Sports.

School Supply List

Below is Sumner Middle School’s supply list for the 24-25 school year. We have purposely tried to keep our school supply list as manageable as possible for students and families. If students need additional supplies for specific classes, teachers will communicate this information in their syllabus during the first weeks of school.

Required Supplies:

• Pens and pencils
• Highlighters
• College Ruled Composition or Spiral Notebooks
• Glue Stick
• Colored Pencils or Crayons
• Water bottle (to be used in our water bottle filling station)

Optional Supplies:

• Scientific Calculator
• Hand Held Pencil Sharpener
• Pencil pouch
